Skyrim is the fifth part of the Elder Scrolls Series by Bethesda. It is an action role-playing video game that can be played in first or third person--depending on the player's choice. It was released on November 11, 2011.

 

Compared to many games, Skyrim is an open-world game. This means that every single area can be discovered by the player. Moreover, the background of a scenery is an actual area that the player can travel to--not just a set background.

 

The main story revolves around the dragonborn (the player) defeating the dragon "Alduin" which is the dragon that was prophesied to destroy the world. During the player's journey to defeat Alduin, there is a civil war between the Stormcloaks and the Imperial Legion.
